What is Swiss Diamond Cookware?
It is high-end cookware that has been designed with both home cooks and professional chefs in mind.
As the name suggests, there really are tiny diamond particles infused into the coating, making it extremely durable and long-lasting, even in the busiest kitchen.
Each item of cookware is constructed from a multi-layer system, beginning with an aluminum core. This gets covered with 3 layers of metals which give the pan a perfectly flat base, guaranteeing that it will never tip, warp, or bend. This also ensures no hot or cold spots can develop as the cooking surface is incredibly level.
Next is the plasma-coating which stops oxidization in its tracks.
Finally, the most impressive layer is added, the diamond-reinforced, non-stick coating. Not just 1, but 3 layers of it.
This is how superior non-stick qualities are achieved.
Woll Cookware vs Swiss Diamond Cookware
The two most reputed and trusted cookware manufacturing companies Woll Cookware and Swiss Diamonds, are from Germany and Switzerland, respectively. Trusted by millions for the quality products in cookware, they have been innovative in terms of design, materials, and pricing. They are offering healthy competition in the market and have brought the best cookware to the households.
The journey of a frying pan from the kitchen counter to the dining table might not be a smooth one, without a heatproof handle, nor can the saucepan without side handles be worth the money.
Woll cookware is renowned for innovative and user-friendly designs and is often considered ahead of the counterparts in terms of looks and finish.
The Swiss Diamonds cookware has a sturdy and functional design and is simple in looks with an excellent finish. Woll Cookware is a tad ahead than Swiss Diamonds in terms of design, looks and finish.
Both the brands have been continually working towards providing the best cookware through scientific innovations and researches aimed at using the best materials in the manufacturing of their range of cookware.
Swiss Diamonds, as the name suggests, have uses the minute particles of the hardest material in the world Diamonds to coat the bases of the cookware, while Woll relies on Sapphire. The aluminum used for the cookware is of the best in quality and offers uniform and quick heating.
Woll Cookware and Swiss Diamonds go hand in hand in terms of the quality and the choice of materials used for their cookware.
For the Swiss Diamonds range of cookware products, one has to dig deep into their pockets. While the Woll cookware is priced competitively.
Thus, it can be concluded that while Swiss Diamonds are a bit on the higher end in terms of price, Woll cookware is handcrafted cookware, with innovative and user-friendly designs and price.

The reputed metalworkers from the United States had minted the American coins and have been putting their expertise of metal bonding into the manufacture of the All-Clad line of cookware. While the Swiss Diamonds from Switzerland have been the manufactures of high-end cookware, trusted and accepted by millions.
Feel, Design and Looks
The All Clad cookware has a metallic look, without any coating. The designs reflect the strength of the cookware, complete with the metallic handles and lids.

Swiss Diamond vs. Scanpan
The cookware manufacturing company from Switzerland has been amongst the global leaders of high-end cookware products while the Scanpan cookware from Denmark has been a reputed name in the worldwide market.
Looks and Design
A black coated stainless steel with a metal handle is what the Swiss Diamond non-stick pan has been known for. The line of Swiss Diamonds has a sleek look and a perfect blend of the black coating and the gleaming steel handle and lends a touch of elegance.
While the stylish heatproof black ergonomic handle of the Scanpan range of non-stick on-stick pans is eye-catching and gives a curvy look to the black non-stick on-stick pan. Notwithstanding, all-steel pans and saucepans are all metal and slim.

The prices of both lines are the result of the materials used and the usage of the products. Swiss Diamonds offer complete cooking solutions, with pans and saucepans that can be used on any cooking surface, including induction.
The Scanpans cookware is easy to handle and is great for cooking but on induction.
Hexclad vs Swiss Diamonds
The first non-stick pan with a non-stick base for the inside and outside, Hexclad is a relatively young cookware company based in the United States. While Swiss Diamonds, as the name rightly suggests, is a high-end cookware manufacturing company from Switzerland that has carved a niche in the world of cookware.
Though new to the world of cookware, Hexclad is fast making inroads and have impressed many.
Design and Looks
The Hexclad non-stick pan has an eye-catching metallic look. The first non-stick aluminum and steel coated pan for both outsides and inside is the perfect blend of the bright shiny metallic outer-body and handle and the black-coated inside.
The Swiss Diamonds, on the other hand, looks elegant with the smooth finish of the black outer body and the steel handle. The sizes of the pan complement the handles of both the product lines.
Hexclad pans have a magnetic stainless steel base, and another layer of steel sandwiches the aluminum layer.
The non-stick layer on the inside is resistant to the aberration of a metal staple. The patented hexagonal patterns on the cooking surface are laser etched.
The Swiss Diamonds true to its name uses particles of real diamonds to ensure even heating and abortion and peel free cooking surface. The tempered glass lids and the metal handles are strong and durable.
The Hexclad cookware is priced competitively, with other product lines. The price of Swiss Diamonds, on the other hand, warrants a deeper dig at the pockets.
Caring for Swiss Diamond Cookware
In Use Due to its ability to conduct heat so well, you will never need to cook on high-temperatures. Always warm your pan up gently before adding ingredients.
Remove meat from the fridge 10-minutes or so before cooking, let its temperature raise a little.
Using wooden, silicone, or plastic utensils will extend the product’s life.
Cleanup While it is dishwasher safe, a gentle wipe with a warm, soapy cloth should be enough. Don’t use abrasive scourers.
Storage, Some of the cookware, will nest inside another piece for space-saving. This is absolutely fine. If you use a piece of paper towel or the foam pieces delivered with your set, in between, this will ensure no scratches happen.
Is Swiss Diamond Cookware worth buying?
In my opinion, yes, it is.
While it may be slightly more expensive than other non-stick cookware brands. Many users state that their Swiss Diamond sets are in their tenth year of service and still performing as they did when they were new. I’ve bought cheaper cookware and had to replace it within months!
The long-term durability and superb diamond nonstick pan properties of this cookware make it a very worthwhile investment, in my opinion.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Are there REALLY diamonds in Swiss Diamond Cookware?
Millions of tiny particles of diamond crystals are infused and become the outer layer of the cookware. Three layers to be exact, with each layer comes more :
• Durability. We all know diamonds are naturally strong and tough
• Non-stick. Again, they are naturally non-stick
• Conduction. Diamonds conduct heat better than any metal.
Is this cookware induction cooktop compatible?
No,none of the products mentioned in the Swiss Diamond cookware review are. This particular range is built around a cast-aluminum core. Induction needs a magnetic metal to work. Swiss Diamond has a different series dedicated to induction cooking.
Is Swiss Diamond Cookware safe?
Every product in this review is PFOA-free and therefore, non-toxic. Some PTFE is used in the process, but it is naturally inert. Therefore, used and cared for correctly, it will cause absolutely no harm.
Are Swiss Diamond and Blue Diamond Cookware the same?
They are similar products. Blue Diamond also has a diamond-infused cooking surface, but it is claimed it can withstand temperatures of up to 850-degrees f. However, users of Blue Diamond often state that lubricant is required as the non-stick coating isn’t as good as it might be. Metal utensils may scratch the coating too. It is much less expensive as it isn’t made in Switzerland.
